What is Goodwill Reboot? It’s an opportunity for you to donate working or non-working computers. We either recycle or resell these computers in the Goodwill Reboot section of our Iowa City store.
What you can donate
Computers — and anything that plugs into them — can be donated at any one of our Goodwill stores during regular business hours. We also accept donations of consumer electronics in good working condition. This includes alarm clocks, radios, stereo equipment, etc., but not televisions. Perhaps you are a business looking to clear out older or recently off-lease units to make room for new ones. Perhaps you are an individual who has recently upgraded your computer and are wondering what to do with the old one. When you donate to Goodwill, you help create jobs for people who face barriers to independence.
In the market for a computer and want to save money? Goodwill’s Reboot section features great quality refurbished computers. We will be happy to help you get just what you need.
What you can purchase
Home electronics – speakers, amplifiers, turntables – most anything for your home HiFi system!
Games – retro gaming systems and the games that go with them!
Cables and accessories – for a fraction of the prices you'll find at big box stores. We have HDMI, RCA/Phono, AC adapters, and a wide assortment of other cables used with stereos, home entertainment systems and computers.
Goodwill Reboot also recycles computers and related gear to benefit our mission. Thanks to our partnership with Dell Reconnect, Goodwill is the largest recycler of e-waste in the United States.
Goodwill Reboot items are located in a special section of our Iowa City Store.
