Healthcare Career Connections is a three-week career exploration program, offered at no cost to you, from Goodwill of the Heartland. You'll discover the variety of careers available in healthcare, learn what local employers are looking for and begin building a realistic path toward training and employment.
Whether you're entering the workforce, considering your options after high school or looking for a career with greater stability and room to grow, Healthcare Career Connections can help you see what's possible -- and what to do next.
What You'll Gain
During the program, you'll:

♦ Hear directly from healthcare professionals, employers and educators
♦ Participate in workplace tours, job shadows or other career experiences
♦ Learn the expectations of professional healthcare settings

♦ Work with a career navigator to identify goals and plan next steps
♦ Have opportunities to earn healthcare-related credentials
Healthcare offers many ways to begin. Entry-level positions may include Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Home Health Aide, Phlebotomist, Pharmacy Technician, Dental Assistant, Patient Care Technician and Medical Receptionist. These roles can also provide pathways to careers in nursing, therapy, laboratory services, healthcare leadership and more.

Healthcare Career Connections begins October 19
Our initial class will be held in Davenport. Future classes will rotate among the Quad Cities area, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. Complete the interest form, and a member of our team will contact you with specifics and next steps.
