ReSupply partnership offers convenient in-home pickup for furniture, clothing and household donations that support the circular economy, local workforce training and Goodwill’s mission
AUGUST 11, 2026 – Goodwill of the Heartland has expanded its home donation pickup service with ReSupply to the Quad Cities, giving area donors a convenient option for donating furniture, electronics, clothing and household items they may be unable to transport themselves.
ReSupply’s licensed and insured crews handle lifting, disassembly and transport from any part of the home. Most pickups can be completed within 24 to 48 hours, providing a fast and convenient way to give.
“If you have items to donate but no way to get them to us, this makes it simple,” said Goodwill of the Heartland President and CEO Pat Airy. “It removes barriers to giving and turns generosity into opportunity.”
Donors also do not need to worry about what will be accepted. Items that Goodwill cannot take are redirected by ReSupply to other nonprofits or responsibly recycled. This keeps more usable goods out of local landfills and helps more people in the community.
Founded by U.S. military veterans, ReSupply also creates jobs and career paths for service members transitioning to civilian life. Their mission closely aligns with Goodwill’s focus on work, training and opportunity.
How It Works:
Donors receive a tax receipt for accepted items. Pickup by ReSupply is limited to select communities. While we expect this footprint to increase, pickup is not yet available throughout our entire service area. Donations are the heart of Goodwill’s work. Every item given helps fund job training, workforce development and support services for people and businesses in our communities. Without these contributions, many of the programs that strengthen our communities in southeast Iowa and west-central Illinois would not be possible. Every donation makes a tangible difference in local lives. “By making donating easier and more accessible, we can reach more people, support more programs and strengthen the communities we serve,” Airy said. ReSupply is a third-party, fee-based pickup service; donations made directly at Goodwill donation locations remain free. |
