Fright Night in the Park returns this Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Goodwill of the Heartland partners with Rock Island Parks and Recreation for the seventh year to bring a free, family-friendly event to downtown Rock Island.

Fright Night in the Park is open to the entire family. Grab your favorite costumes and come to Schwiebert Riverfront Park (between 17th and 20th streets in downtown Rock Island) for a special Halloween celebration. The event offers trick-or-treating, a live DJ, costume contests and performances by local groups. Goodie bags will be available while supplies last.

This year, Fright Night in the Park will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. To learn more, visit the KWQC website for a video about this year's celebration or visit the event posting on Facebook.

And if you need a little help getting your holiday look together, visit Halloween at Goodwill!
