Construction crews will begin expanding the Outlet parking lot on Tuesday, June 13.

While we do not anticipate the work to cause significant disruptions for Outlet shoppers, we do want them to be aware of the added construction traffic. There may be temporary delays as workers load and unload equipment, for instance.

Parking located to the south of the Outlet entrance, which was previously reserved for Goodwill administrative team members, will be made available to Outlet shoppers throughout the parking lot project.

In addition, road construction continues on 6th Street SW. The street is now closed between the Outlet driveway and Wright Brothers Boulevard. To avoid traffic detours, shoppers should continue to approach the Outlet from the north by taking the 6th Street SW (Hawkeye Downs) exit on Highway 30.

The Outlet Store, located at 8200 6th St. SW, provides a different type of Goodwill shopping. General merchandise is sold at $1.49 per pound. Softcover books are a quarter while hardcover books are 50 cents. When larger items, like furniture, are available, they are priced as marked. Everything is cash and carry.

The majority of Outlet merchandise is placed in large bins. Several bins are available for shoppers, and new bins are rotated onto the sales floor at regular intervals throughout the day.

The Outlet has no dressing rooms and does not accept donations.

We appreciate your patience as the Outlet parking lot undergoes expansion!
