Goodwill of the Heartland rolls out its first customer loyalty program during Goodwill Week, May 2-6

The Rewards Card, Goodwill of the Heartland’s new customer loyalty program, launches on May 2 with special sign-up events all week long at stores throughout the region.

Members earn 5 points for every $1 spent at any Goodwill of the Heartland location, plus points for engaging with Goodwill, and unlock a $5 reward after every 500 points earned. The program is free to join and includes exclusive notifications on store manager promotions and individual saving events, including birthday surprises.

“Our shoppers and donors fuel our mission to help people reach their full potential through education, training and the power of work,” said Retail Project Manager Kolbi Jamison. “We’re constantly looking for more ways to delight them, reward them and provide more enriching opportunities to participate in the Goodwill story.”

Shoppers and donors who sign up during Goodwill Week and make a purchase at one of the organization’s 18 retail locations within 7 days will earn double points on that purchase.

CLARIFICATION: This blog post originally stated that Rewards Card holders earn 1 point per $1 spent and unlock a $5 reward after earning 100 points. While the math remains the same, the language has been updated to show that Rewards Card holders earn 5 points per $1 spent and unlock a $5 reward after earning 500 points.

ABOUT GOODWILL WEEK

Each year during the first full week of May, Goodwill organizations across the country and around the globe celebrate the power of work and founder Edgar J. Helms’ philosophy of “a hand up, not a hand out.” As Helms envisioned, Goodwill of the Heartland strives to give people the means to permanently change their lives through development of the skills necessary for careers with family-sustaining wages. The services, training and hope we provide throughout our 19-county region in Iowa and Illinois is funded by generous charitable donations and store purchases.
