March 9th, 2020 – Registration is now open for Goodwill of the Heartland’s upcoming Hospitality Certification Training Program in Burlington, Iowa. This seven-week program is free and available to the public. The next session is scheduled for March 23rd through May 7th. Registration closes on Monday, March 16th and the course is limited to 10 participants. Participation requires a weekly time commitment of 20 hours.

The Hospitality Certification Training Program consists of weekly classroom training using the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute Curriculum, as well as paid training at partner hotels. The paid training teaches students skills in customer relations, front desk operations, guestroom care and restaurant service. Participants will also receive soft skills training developing interpersonal skills necessary for workplace success.

The course concludes with an industry recognized certification exam. The goal of this program is to equip participants with industry-required knowledge and skills, as well as a competitive edge when applying for jobs.
