Goodwill of the Heartland celebrates the opening of its 19th retail location

July 20, 2023 – Goodwill of the Heartland is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated grand opening of its newest thrift store in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. The store, located at 700 N. Grand Ave., officially opens its doors to the public at 9 a.m. on Aug. 4, becoming the organization’s 19th retail location. This marks a significant milestone for Goodwill as it expands its presence into the Mount Pleasant community, bringing with it a wide array of high-quality, affordable items and valuable workforce development opportunities.

The grand opening event promises to be a festive occasion, with a community ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., followed by a day filled with family-friendly shopping and activities. Shoppers can look forward to special promotions, including giveaways of Goodwill promotional items.

The Mount Pleasant Goodwill Store offers a treasure trove of gently used clothing, household items, electronics, books, and much more, all at everyday affordable prices.
