Goodwill Stores extend existing military discount to Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Military discounts were re-evaluated for all Goodwill of the Heartland locations following a team member request. The team member, who works in one of our stores, correctly noted the existing policy of providing a military discount on Sunday could pose a barrier to military families who rely on public transportation or who are otherwise unable to shop on that day. Leadership agreed and decided to expand the existing discount.
Starting this Friday (Feb. 10), Goodwill of the Heartland locations provide a discount to all active, reserve and veteran military members (and their spouses) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Showing a military ID is required. Military members receive 10 percent off Goodwill's already low prices for their entire purchase.
Goodwill of the Heartland is committed to serving those who served. In addition to our Veterans Services, which help homeless and near-homeless veterans reintegrate into civilian life through a variety of general assistance and employment programs, our long-standing discount for military families is one of the ways we honor their dedication and sacrifice.
