With Catherine’s major improvement and excellent attitude, she has gone from nearly losing prevocational services, to now preparing to begin job development services and transitioning to community employment. Working in the Clinton Goodwill Store, Catherine aims for perfection when categorizing clothing racks.
Since last May Dustin has obtained his high school equivalency, obtained employment for the first time in his life, advanced in one of his part-time positions, and moved into an apartment of his own. Dustin is a very reliable worker and demonstrates great work ethic.
Joby graduated from Goodwill Services less than two months after completing the Retail Skills Training program. Shortly after meeting Joby, you can tell she’ll do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. Joby constantly searches for new ways to further her skills and make herself a stronger person.
Working with Goodwill, Joe overcame his previous barriers and has found employment. On the way toward greater independence, Joe set a goal to get his driver’s license and a car. Joe has met both those goals. Joe also recently moved out of transitional housing and acquired his own apartment.
Kathy has received services from Goodwill Supported Community Living since 2004. She overcame both physical and emotional barriers to achieve her dream of owning a home, with the purchase of a condo in 2014. Kathy is an amazing role model for so many people.
