When it comes to helping people find jobs, Goodwill is a resource for the entire community. Through our job fairs, career centers and other employment placement programs, we can help you with:
- Skills assessment
Finding a job for someone who faces a barrier to independence requires professional assessment of their skills. Our Employment Specialists observe their ability to complete tasks and use this information to help them make good decisions about which jobs to pursue.
- Resume writing
Goodwill Employment Specialists can provide assistance with developing an effective resume and making the best possible impression on prospective employers.
- Interview skills
We offer classes that help educate participants on the “soft skills” they need to succeed in finding a job (how they dress, being on time for appointments, etc.).
- Customized Employment
Goodwill utilizes a customized employment approach to create an employment relationship between the job seeker and an employer in a way that meets the needs of both.
