People With Disabilities

Goodwill of the Heartland advances the social and economic well-being of people who experience barriers to independence through a number of programs and services. Client services are personalized to meet individual goals and needs.

We offer a variety of services for people with disabilities and brain injury, including:

  • Sheltered Workshop. Gain valuable work experience and train for a job in the community in our facility.
  • Day Programming. For individuals seeking social and recreational opportunities, we offer Day Programming. Participants gain life skills while actively participating in structured programming.
  • Community Work Placement. We can work with you and area employers to find a job within the community.
  • Case Management. We can help to connect individuals with brain injury with area service providers that will help individuals reach their personalized goals.
  • Supported Community Living. For individuals who want to maintain their independence, we can provide assistance with tasks such as bill-paying, grocery shopping and light housekeeping.
