New Moline Goodwill® Store Opens January 2
The Moline Goodwill® Store, 4805 22nd Ave., will hold a grand opening at its new location and open its doors to shoppers at 9 a.m. Monday, January 2.
The new store has a sales floor that is about 25 percent larger than its current Avenue of the Cities location, which opened in 1997.
“Customers love the new shopping experience that comes with a move, and Goodwill has been careful to retain the old features that our customers appreciate so much,” said Jason Toms, Vice President of Retail at Goodwill of the Heartland.
Customers will find the same staff at work at the new site and the same great deals on quality merchandise. “Visitors will note the new store showcases a customer-friendly environment, with wider aisles and chrome shelving which offers a fresh look and a more organized appearance,” he said.
Donors will also find a convenient donation drive thru at the site. “Our donors will see a drive thru that offers them the protection of a covered overhang as they donate, and automatic doors to make it easier to access the donation area,” Toms said.
The new store is located in a 13,000-square-foot building that originally housed an Ace Hardware Store and recently TPC Cash & Carry.
"This was a planned upgrade for the Moline Store," Toms said. “We are excited to move to a bigger space that is more convenient for our customers."
Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
