Welcome to Goodwill of the Heartland

Goodwill is proud to offer tours of our Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Centers.

Household Donations

Donating is easy at any of our 12 retail stores throughout the area or at our donation center in Cedar Rapids.

When you bring your donations of clothing and household goods to Goodwill Industries you are:

  • Creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to independence
  • Helping Goodwill fund programs and services
  • Supporting training opportunities
  • Helping the environment by reducing the amount of material being sent to landfills

How do I figure out the value of my donated goods? See our Taxpayer's Guide.

Each year Goodwill helps to resell and recycle millions of pounds of donated goods. Through Goodwill, these items are processed and made available to new consumers. Goodwill shoppers then complete the circle by purchasing previously owned items in one of our retail locations.

The Donation Items List in the blue sidebar explains what items Goodwill accepts.
